TRANSPORTATION OPTIONS
We offer door-to-door transportation in an air-conditioned vehicle. No Red Trucks here! Our Full-Day Tour and COMBO Tour includes complimentary transportation from any location within Chiang Mai City. We are one hour outside the city. The prices below are for our half-day tours and our feeding experience.

Transportation Charges
If available, you have the option of a shared ride with other guests. If you choose this option and no other guests are available, you will pay the private rates.
SHARED TRANSPORTATION
ONE GUEST: ฿500
1-2 GUESTS: ฿375 PP
3-4 GUESTS: ฿250 PP
5-7 GUESTS: ฿200 PP

PRIVATE TRANSPORTATION
1 GUEST: ฿1,400

DOOR-TO-DOOR SERVICE IN AN AIR-CONDITIONED VEHICLE
Elephant Freedom Project only uses private contracted drivers. Most often, the driver will arrive in a van, SUV, or four-door sedan. All the vehicles have air conditioning. We only offer door-to-door service. We will arrive at your hotel and look for you at reception.
RED TRUCK TRANSPORT? NO THANKS
If you have spent any time in Chiang Mai, you have seen the infamous red trucks rolling around. While this may be okay for a quick 5-10 minute journey, any longer than that is NO FUN. Often, you are crammed inside with eleven other people with no air conditioning. You may be forced to meet at a meeting spot. It’s not a good way to start your tour.

Other Options
Some guests rent motor scooters to journey up to our sanctuary, it’s a fun drive and scenic, and the ride is about 1 hour and Fifteen minutes each way. Motor scooters normally rent for ฿300 Baht per day.
Grab or Taxi
This option is normally much more expensive than what we offer. As we are located deep in the mountains there is no available car service once you are at our sanctuary. If you hire a taxi or grab they will be required to wait for you during your tour. The cost for this option is approximately ฿2,500 Baht.
Car Rentals
Depending on the time of year car rentals will cost a minimum of ฿1,250 Baht + fuel charge per day.
