About Siriporn Tanaseth
Siriporn Tanaseth is the Managing Director of the Elephant Freedom Project, an ethical elephant sanctuary located in the Mae Wang District of Chiang Mai, Thailand. A lifelong animal advocate, Siriporn works closely with local mahouts and conservationists to ensure the well-being, freedom, and ethical treatment of every elephant in the sanctuary’s care.
Born and raised in Thailand, Siriporn brings a deep cultural understanding to her leadership. Under her guidance, the sanctuary has evolved into one of Chiang Mai’s most respected destinations for ethical, hands-off elephant experiences.
Siriporn oversees guest education, mahout training, and animal welfare compliance. She is instrumental in the sanctuary’s transition to a 100% hands-off model launching in June 2025 — a bold move aligning the project with World Animal Protection guidelines and global conservation ethics.
